Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How long will my home improvements take?
We will provide you with a schedule of the various phases of the project, including the type of work to be completed. Each phase of your home improvement project will be inspected by us, and approved before moving forward with the next phase. Should the schedule of activities cause a conflict, we will discuss it to provide you with a satisfactory completion date.
Q. Will there be any “hidden costs” or charges that I am not aware of?
A. No, there will never be any costs that are not agreed to prior to the commencement of work. You are free to suggest changes/additions to the agreed upon contract, however, and a new or amended contract will be developed.
Q. How can I be certain that the craftspeople and the materials are the best suited for my project?
A. Our more than 50 years of experience in the Construction and Construction management field have allowed us to learn precisely what materials are best suited for each type of construction project. In addition, we have carefully selected only the highest quality of craftspeople, based upon our personal knowledge of their craft skills, work ethic, and adherence to our standards, to complete your home project. Our company is bonded and insured and employs only licensed craftspeople.
Q. What guarantee do I get?
A. Our workmanship comes with a written guarantee for life. We will make certain that all of your concerns are addressed and your home improvement project is completed to exceed your expectations.
Q. Will there be people in my home that I don’t know?
A. We, as owners, will introduce any and all craftspeople that we bring into your home. All of our skilled craftspeople will follow our schedule and complete their portion of your home improvement project with the same attention to detail that we demand.
Q. How might my family’s activities be disrupted by the construction work?
A. One of our goals is to complete your home improvements with the least possible disruption of your family’s normal activities. Depending upon the improvements being made, it may be necessary to temporarily interrupt service to electric, gas, or water services in your home. Should this be necessary, we will notify you through our scheduler to help plan the interruption that will cause the least inconvenience to your family.
Q. How much money will I need to begin my home improvement project?
A. Our contract with you will specify that 50% of the total is paid at the commencement of your home improvements, with the balance due upon completion of work. For some larger projects, we require a deposit and incremental
payment, as the project progresses.
